CAD part analyzer
Load two parts and get a structured similarity read-out: measured size and stock, the machining features recognised on each model, and a rotation-invariant shape signature. Every factor is scored on its own, then combined into a single weighted number you can re-balance for the question you are actually asking.
Drop an STL, STEP or STP file here. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Load a part into both slots to see the similarity breakdown. A single part still gets a full feature read-out.
How the score is built
A near-minimum oriented bounding box gives the billet you would order. Volume, area and proportions come from exact mass-property integration over the solid.
Surfaces are segmented into analytic faces, then fitted as planes, cylinders, cones and spheres. Holes, pockets, blends and chamfers fall out of those fits; ray casting from 38 approach directions flags what no straight tool can reach.
Shape distributions over sampled surface points, plus convexity, sphericity and principal moments. All of it is rotation and translation invariant, so orientation in the file does not change the answer.
Lengths are treated as millimetres. STEP files are read with their own units and tessellated with OpenCascade, which also carries real B-rep face topology into the analysis; STL has no topology, so faces are recovered from the mesh instead.
